Is it not purpose enough to be a responsible contributing member of society? Companies are having to change the way they look at employees. Knowing that this generation will leave after only about 2 years. When does our own grass get watered? When we tend to it, we can’t just move to a new house with new grass and wait for it to die. <strong>Happiness.</strong> Society encourage the youth to strive for tangible goals and continues the mantra, “Do what makes you happy!” It is usually when we are searching for our own happiness that we are the least happy. If you’re always chasing the next thing, then how can you be pleased with what’s in front of you. Happiness is often the fruit of contentment. My definition of being content is the joy of accepting and enjoying the things we already have. This is one of the life skills that is so essential, but so difficult to learn. <strong>Fame.</strong> I’m about to shock you—we can’t all be famous. Although, we can be famous in other ways. For instance, our purpose on this earth may be to be an excellent mother. Thus we will become the most famous person to our children. Try being a little more realistic. Plus, the most most famous person I know doesn’t even think they are fulfilling their purpose in life, and they are not content, and they already HAVE fame. <strong> Honesty.</strong> Let’s give honesty a try. Let’s be women who are content with what we have and strive for the best version of ourselves or that thing you want most to change. Being realistic doesn’t mean you can’t dream. You can still aspire to be rich, but first invest in your personality. You can daydream of the perfect wardrobe, but look at what you have, invite a friend over and reinvent your style. Lastly, desire to live for more than purpose, happiness, and fame. Life can be vibrant. Why not try to find your soul’s color? Uncover the substance between the happiness and purpose seeking, you could be missing out on the blessings of the day because you’re spending so much time worrying or wishing about tomorrow. We become disappointed that we are not living up to our potential. Take a real inventory of your skills and your hobbies and do those things, and you will become the best version of yourself. You may find you are already fulfilling your purpose, by being uniquely you.
